 Onyx Cave was discovered in 1971 as a parking lot was being constructed for Guntown Mountain Amusement Park. The cave opened for tours in May of 1973. Onyx Cave is a wet cave that offers beautiful cave coral, a wall  of cave bacon, and a 40 foot column. Cave tours are 30 minutes long and can be enjoyed by people of all ages. In addition to the cave tour,  you'll find an awesome variety of rocks, minerals, fossils, and books at the Onyx  Cave Rock Shop.
