In-season catches include small mouth and large mouth bass, crappie, bluegill, walleye and catfish. There are 32 camp sites with water and electricity, 40 primitive sites, a restroom/shower building, laundry facilities and dump station. A children's playground is located by the sites. Three sites have been adapted for the disabled. Campground is open April-October. Pets are allowed if restrained.

Onyx Cave was discovered in 1971 as a parking lot was being constructed for the original Guntown Mountain Amusement Park. The cave opened for tours in May of 1973. Onyx Cave is a wet cave that offers beautiful cave coral, a wall of cave bacon, and a 40 foot column. Cave tours are 30 minutes long and can be enjoyed by people of all ages. The Battle for the Bridge Historic Preserve is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Preserve is a stop on the Civil War Discovery Trail, the John Hunt Morgan in KY Heritage Trail and the US 31W-31E Heritage Corridor. The Historic Anthony Woodson House is located on the preserve. More than 200 acres of the battlefield are protected at the Preserve. From the Woodson House Farm grounds you can see the L&N Railroad Bridge that was a technical marvel of its time.
