Mammoth Cave National Park Ky Mammoth-On
Cave, Hike & Bike Triathlon - up to 24 Miles
Start at The Lodge at Mammoth Cave National Park!
Mammoth-on: America’s only cave, hike, and bike triathlon.
The Mammoth-on begins in front of the Mammoth Cave Lodge with a ranger-led hike in Mammoth Cave. Upon leaving the cave, participants will hike two miles on their own through the woods. Next, participants ride their own bikes along the Mammoth Cave Railroad Bike and Hike Trail, about twenty miles round trip to the Grand Victorian Inn in Park City and back.
Not quite ready to pedal twenty miles? Ride half as far as you feel works for you, and turn around. Friends of Mammoth Cave will provide water stations along the way at Sloans Pond and Diamond Caverns.
Want to ride further than twenty miles? Alternate mixed-surface route available.
Please note, this is note a race, but a fun, family-friendly event. Helmets are recommended for the bike ride.
